Stocktaking and inventory adjustments

Periodic stocktakes keep book quantities in line with physical stock. Apus creates count sheets, compares variances and posts adjustments with a full audit trail.

Create a count sheet

  1. Go to Inventory → Stocktake → Create sheet.
  2. Select the warehouse/zone and (optionally) freeze movements during the count.
  3. Print the count list or count directly on a mobile device.

Adjust variances

Enter the counted quantities; the system shows the variance against the books. Once approved, Apus posts the corresponding inventory adjustment entry — with an approver and a reason, so it's always traceable.

For high-value items, use cycle counting by group rather than counting everything at once — it disrupts operations less.

TIP

Schedule cycle counts by ABC classification: count A items more often than C items to spend your effort where it matters.
