Set up warehouses, storage bins and stock levels

A good warehouse structure is the foundation of accurate inventory. This article shows how to declare warehouses, storage bins and stock levels so the system prompts you to reorder at the right time.

Declare warehouses & storage bins

1. Go to Inventory → Configuration → Warehouses & storage bins.
2. Create a warehouse, then divide it into zones and storage bins.
3. Assign items to a default storage bin to route put-away and picking.

Stock levels

Set a minimum stock level and reorder point for each item per warehouse. When stock hits the threshold, Apus suggests a purchase request — flowing straight into the Purchasing module.

Control

Every stock movement (receipt, issue, transfer) is tracked by storage bin, so the quantities on your reports always match what's physically in the warehouse.
