Set up quality inspections (QC)
QMS puts quality checks at the right point in your process — receiving, in-process, before shipping — and handles non-conforming goods under control.
Inspection points & criteria
- Go to Quality → Inspection points and choose the operation to inspect.
- Declare the criteria, acceptance levels and sample size.
- Attach the inspection point to the receiving or production process.
Record results
QC staff record results at the inspection point, with photos if needed. On a pass, the batch moves on; on a fail, it's held and a non-conformance ticket is opened.
Handle non-conformances
A non-conformance ticket routes the disposition (return, rework, concession) and records the cause. This data supports root-cause tracing and improvement over time.
TIP
Start with a few critical inspection points rather than checking everything — focusing on the operations where defects tend to arise is more effective.
