The contract-owner role and handing over administration

The contract owner is the organization's commercial and administrative representative — a delegated, transferable role, not tied to one individual.

Who the contract owner is

This is a role the organization appoints (typically IT, finance or a project manager) to manage the commercial relationship with Apus — not necessarily the head of the business.

What the role can do

The contract owner manages contract details, the service plan and senior administrators through the Apus Account Console. Day-to-day operations remain the responsibility of the system administrators.

Hand over safely

1. Name a successor before the current owner leaves the role.
2. Carry out the handover in the Account Console — with verification and an audit trail.
3. Review the administrator list after the handover.
